Living a life suitable for the Divine—a Poem

We are taught to search for God outside of ourselves.

To look to the church for answers on how to live a life suitable to the divine.

They teach us to be quiet, obedient, to be “seen and not heard.”

They teach us to disregard our intuition, to trust instead in THEIR words and perspectives.

They teach us to be shameful of our beautiful, natural, sensual bodies.

To deny our true nature and instead subscribe to their fears.

At my essence, and at yours, we are the energy of unconditional love.

We are peace, stardust, a piece of the universe experiencing itself.

Strip it all away and what are you if not divine?

Your intuition a divine gift to steer you in the right direction.

Your voice to speak your truth and stand up for others.

Your body to experience all the pleasures available to you in every moment.

Your emotions messengers to signal when your boundaries have been crossed.

Little clues on your divine path to follow your bliss.

There is deep wisdom within you. You already have all the answers deep within your soul.

You never needed to look anywhere but here.

Ask instead how to create a life that suits your soul.

It is the same question.
