Rewiring for Pleasure
If the neurobiological opposite of trauma is play, meaning that the neurochemicals that were excreted by your brain and flooded your system during trauma (and that come up for us when we are in a dysregulated state) are the exact opposite of the hormones/chemicals that are excreted when we play, then sinking into a meditative state and playing with pleasure literally rewires your subconscious to allow for even deeper layers of pleasure, joy and bliss to come into your life. Allows you to more creatively and imaginatively ask that question of “What if?” and to visualize more pleasurable, joyful and blissful outcomes for yourself.
Feeling that intimacy, connection and care in your own body and being reminds you that you are worthy of experiencing that externally as well. The amount of pleasure you allow in from yourself and from Source is directly related to how much love, pleasure, and joy you will allow in from the external world around you and from your partners. If you are having issues relating to your partner, kids, parents, friends, coworkers, etc.. if you are experiencing discomfort in your external relationships… you can look inward for the solution because it is just a mirror. And of course there is the thought that comes in that OMG your saying I”VE been the problem all along? I’M causing all of this discomfort in my relationships… and no, that’s not what I am saying. As a child, you didn’t have a choice but to take the information around you as gospel. Your subconscious absorbed literally everything around you like a sponge: mindsets, beliefs, insecurities, relationship dynamics, fear, shame and above all, vibrational energy. You WERE a victim to your surroundings. AND you are not anymore. From your adult perspective, you GET to go within your subconscious and decide what stories are still aligned in you and which ones are no longer serving you. You get to rewire your subconscious to match how you truly wish to shine.. And that is a fucking SUPERPOWER babe. So while you may have been misled about your power, you have always had it.. And that means you can learn to utilize your power to literally build the life you want from the ground up. And of course it will be hard. Life is hard, that is part of it. But hard doesnt have to feel like abuse. Hard because we are unlearning. Hard because the ego stories are sometimes easier to believe and self doubt is rampant and it seems like no one else is doing the work or that the work doesn’t matter anyway… but it does. We all feel so alone right now but we are many and we are strong. We are enough. Change is coming and we WILL be ready. This IS our work right now. To go within, to get curious and to choose our pleasure over and over and over again so that we never settle for the status-quo of manipulation and control.
We are all deserving of free, wildly inspired lives. We are all worthy of feeling safe, held, and loved by our community around us. We are all worthy of the abundance of land, of food, of shelter, and of material goods available to us naturally on this Earth and all those we as humans have created to enjoy. We are all worthy of a life in which we recognize our inherent divinity and return to our rightful place as Kings and Queens, Gods and Goddesses, (although can I suggest we adopt a new non-binary term?) and walk this Earth remembering that we created it? We came here to forget babes, but we also came here to remember. We came here to experience it all, to fall completely away from each other, to go through the lowest of the lows and to remember our connection to ourselves, to Source, and to each other, to REMEMBER we are ONE, and to literally walk each other home.
I love you all so much, and I was only able to do that once I truly loved me. I see you AS me.. And I see me AS you.. We are truly all ONE source energy.. And to live is to celebrate divinity in all its many forms… as far as the eyes can see and the ears can hear. Every thing, living, dead or in between, Every human, every animal, every plant, everything.. And even man-made things, every bookshelf, every vehicle, every skyscraper, they are all manifestations of the divine. It is ALL divine. It is ALL part of us. It is ALL perfect as it is and exactly on time. We came here to play this out. To see the possibilities. It is larger than any one of our human perspectives, and yet we are also so blessed with these human perspectives to enjoy and create and FEEL all of the multitude of feelings that are available to us in this human experience.
We get SO wrapped up in the day to day, in the capitalist, patriarchal hustle of the fabricated world, that we forget we have so much more to do here. We have so much more POWER here. And because we created this system, we also can decide to step out of it and create something else. Because the power has always been within us, we can learn to harness it and set ourselves (and by extension, each other) FREE.
